Everything you need will be on there but Xcode. iTunes connect is a web based portal. Keychain is part of the OS and handles all kinds of things not just developer stuff. The viewer is installed on device not computer.

So if I walked up to a new Game salad user who has never used it before. And said. Install Xcode.... install Gamesalad creator........ thats all you need to know. You wouldnt tell me Im wrong?

What information does my Keychain need?

What information does GS Creator/Publisher need to publish my games? I know I need to have a apple developer account. But I know there is more to it than just saying..."Yes" I have a account".. Arent there files that need to be available on my computer and devices so that communication between my computer and GS runs smoothly when ready to publish?

What information does my viewer/Ipad need to allow GS Viewer to communicate with my preview testing.

IM trying to create a check off list. To make sure I have everything set up on my new Mac.

I know there is more to it than just Install GameSalad Creator, Install Xcode, Install Viewer on your device via xcode. There are some steps here that Im missing, for a smooth transition from design to testing to publishing to receiving a check in the mail.

Click the link in my signature and there are videos on publishing and setting up developer account et... Learning GS and all things involved takes time more than I could put in a post. You asked about software you need and I answered that. If this is your first Mac then you have a learning curve ahead of you. Get a book on OSX Lion or get a tutorial series on it. You have work and learning ahead of you and there is no shortcut.

I think your'e misunderstanding the premise to my question.

Let me overkill this list as a example.

To create a game using Game Salad Creator Pro.. and publish to a iOS device such as iPhone or iPad. You will need these things before this is possible.

1: Mac computer ( maybe a PC,,, but in this discussion we are using a MAC)
    2: Apple iOS Dev account.
3: GS Pro Account. ( Pro not needed, but in this discussion we are going with PRO)
    4: Xcode ( Latest Version )
5: GS viewer on your iphone/iPad. ( for testing )
    6: Itunes Connect

Now lets break these 5 things down.

    1: Mac Computer

If i remember straight it needs to be a intel based mac. And I remember something about the Macs Keychain needing some information as well. Would this information be something I get and install from itunes connect or something i receive from GS? or something that is provided by xcode. I know something has to be in the KEYCHAIN. Tshirtbooth made it clear to me a year ago that something has to be done to the keychain.

    2: Apple Dev account.

This is a 99$ a year subscription that allows you to publish games onto the itunes store.

    3: GS Pro.

a subscription with GS that gives you all access to all GS Features. ( Pro not needed )

    4: Xcode

I really dont know what Xcode is used for.. I just know I need it. This is the area that confuses me most. Im not refering to a full tutorial on all xcodes abilities. Im refering to its use with GS to publish a GS Game. Or installation of the Viewer.

5:GS viewer on your IPad and iPhone.

I know that in order to test on these devices. You have to use xcode to install this onto your devices. But in order to do this. You must use itunes connects features to create some file(s) that xcode will need to finish the process on installation.

    6: Itunes Connect

This is also a area that confuses me sometimes. In order to create a game and publish it to itunes app store. At some point you need to create some files here and copy and download them to your computer and place them in certain areas and install them in certain ares to be able to finish the publishng process or installing a viewer on you ios device(s)

Because there are some areas to this that Im not 100% aware of. Im asking for someone to help me fill in the gaps on what steps Im missing. I know these mainly fall with in the Xcode and Itunes Connect area.

If you watch the videos about setting up a developer account in the videos on my site those questions are answered. I made the videos so I don't have to write a novel every time someone asks how to do it. As I said you have a lot of learning to do. Goggle the iTunes connect developer guide as to how to use it and what is required. How do you think I learned all this stuff? I read the documentation and watched videos and studied. Xcode is used to handle lots of things but for GS you use it for two things to manage signing your app and since the viewer is a native Xcode app you use it to install the viewer on a device. Keychain is a public key encryption tool apple uses to manage public key encryption certificates that validate anything that uses encryption. You're Apple developer certificates unique to you is basic public key encryption, you create these when you setup your developer account with Apple. I have videos on this process. As to Mac you need an intel based Mac, with osx Lion.
