Is GameSalad represented at the appsworld Developer Conference in SF today?

Hello everyone. I'm brand new here on the forums. I've been digging through the postings here and researching other game engines for the past week or so. I'm seriously thinking about making games which my wife and I could then promote through her blog. She has a pretty successful blog, so that would be the main way we'd promote our games.
She and I both loves mobile games and gaming in general, but we aren't coders/programmers by any stretch of the imagination. I work in IT separately, but not on the programming side. I'm a sysadmin, but I'm not ruling out learning a scripting language if it appears to be the best way to get where we want to go.
So far I've been looking into GameSalad, Corona SDK, Unity 3D, Stencyl and Titanium, and since I live out in the SF Bay Area, I was going to swing by appsworld today, just the free expo area and not the paid courses. I see that Corona and Titanium have booths, but I don't recall seeing one listed for GameSalad.
Does anyone here know if GameSalad sent people to appsworld this year? If so I would very much like to talk with them while I'm there.

I apologize for not introducing myself more politely before jumping in with questions, but I only found out about the conference a day ago and just decided at the last minute to check it out. If anyone here would like me to look for or ask any questions of any of the companies represented at appsworld today, let me know. I'd be happy to.
Kind regards,
Chad

tatiang Posts: 11,949I've been very happy with GameSalad. I come from a programming background but with very limited knowledge (and years ago in college). After not thinking about app/game design for decades, I was thrilled to find GameSalad. After 60 hours of development (sounds like a lot, but again it's relative) I was able to publish my first app. Talk about excitement!
And yes, as a teacher it's a natural fit to offer tutoring. I am also available for consulting, for customized video tutorials (or the free ones I referred to), or for straight coding assistance. I currently have a couple of clients but have some flexibility as far as taking on new work. I also offer proofreading services for in-app content, App Store descriptions, and websites (though from your writing I'm guessing you wouldn't need that!); see https://forums.gamesalad.com/discussion/53274/proofreader-available.
For more information or pricing, please feel free to send me a private message by clicking on my username and then clicking Message.
And I agree that not only is this a tremendous community for game design, it's among the most impressive I've been involved in (including moderating other forums) for any topic. There are some very talented and generous people here.New to GameSalad? (FAQs) | Tutorials | Templates | Greenleaf Games | Educator & Certified GameSalad User

Welcome! I don't know the answer to your question about Appsworld but I think you'll find this community to be quite generous and helpful.
I work in Marin at a K-8 school where I teach (game design with GameSalad among other things tech and non-tech) and provide tech support. I've been developing with GameSalad for a little over a year and I also provide coding services for app development.
You can also check out my YouTube tutorials (see the link in my signature) if you'd like to get a feel for how (relatively) easy it is to get started with GameSalad.

Wow! What a small world. My wife and I live in Novato, and I work down in Tiburon, so we're from the same neck of the woods!
The community here is far and away the most helpful one I've found in my game engine search. There are so many strong opinions out there about which engines are better and why, but I don't know. I'm leaning toward GameSalad now, because of where I'm at, what I want to do, it's less about feature set and more about being able to complete fun games in a timely manner that don't require a year or more to make, and get them listed in the major app stores.
Thank you for replying. I definitely took note of where you mentioned "coding services." Are you referring to GameSalad consulting help? Or perhaps tutoring? If so, I might really be interested in something like that.
