Make an Actor repeat itself for a racing theme game

Hi,

I'm new to GameSalad. I have a background that is plain black and also an actor called "Road_Line". I want this actor to repeat itself on the screen to give the feeling of driving on a road.

How can this be achieved?

Thanks in advance,

Anthony

I was going to say use the replicate function, and have the actor move in one direction, and then tell the scene to wrap X, but wrap doesn't work with the replicate function. Your best bet would be to make an actor say 25 x 1136, and have many road lines in that one image for the actor. Then tell the actor to move towards the side of the screen at a constant speed. The last thing you would have to do is navigate to scene attributes, which you can do by clicking on "Scene" from the navigation window, and then check the box labeled "Wrap X" (or Wrap Y if the game is in portrait mode).

Hope you can understand what I'm trying to say!

    Best of luck!

    Hi Anthony, welcome ! :)>-

I think you might need to give a few more details, is the road viewed from above or from the side - do you have a camera following it etc etc. Maybe dig out a youtube video or image of the kind of thing you are after.

It's a top view game. I want the road line effect found from the following. http://www.driving-games.net/play/5-miles-to-go/

Only difference will be that my game is portrait and the road line will spawn from top to bottom.

Hope this helps. Thanks for taking the time to look at my issue.
