Does anyone know how to reference a trademarked or copyrighted item or product in a trivia game? If any, what exactly are the laws surrounding such a game.

For example:

Pepsi-cola is the second most popular soft drink in America.

True or false

If anyone has ANY info on how I can make this game with questions that reference trademarked or copyrighted products, please let me know ASAP.

    I highly doubt you need permission to do this...

    Just put an "®", "©", or, "™", depending on what you are referencing.

    Thanks for the info. I'd love to make this game, but I can't afford to get sued by one of those companies. Any other info or comments from people who have made trivia games like the one I'd like to make would be great.

    Awww, don't let that stop you from making this app!

    Go ahead and email the companies whose products you wish to use in your app.
    I know they'll be reasonable, and they cannot sue you if you email them before you sumbit your app (they probably can't/won't bother to even after you publish, as long as you don't make it look like you own their products)


    Give emailing them a shot; there's nothing to loose!
