Actor Positioning on Scene

Yep, another newbie question...so let me say in advance, thanks for your patience. I get frustrated with my lack of ability to place actors on a screen in/on the positions I want them to be - x/y. Today I am making a clock. I have a circle and want to place the numbers appropriately within the circle. When my shaky hand, too much coffee, drag and drop I am forever adjusting. I think I asked once before if we can view the area in a grid format and was told this was not possible. Any suggestions on how to manage this would be greatly appreciated.

You could just grab a grid image and put that into Creator until you are done...That's what I do.

You can adjust positions in small increments (pixels) with the arrow keys once an actor has been selected on the scene. You can also type in self.Position.X and self.PositionY values in the attribute browser if you know what they should be.

If you need to position a bunch of actors, you can put their X and Y values in a table (e.g. you could use Excel formulas to generate values and then import them as a csv) and then have them change to the table values, but that's a bit more work.

I like the tables idea as well. A little more work up front but will pay off once I get into making more and more levels!! I was just thinking the other day that I am need to tackle tables. Perfect timing. Thanks

Yeah, that's a pretty nice tip! I did'nt even realize it until Tshirtbooth mentioned it in one of his tutorials :p

It does help in precision placing @PaxPax

Yep, that one was great as well King Chakku. The 'little tips' are so helpful, particularly in productivity AND reduced frustration level. Thanks again
