Any tips, issues, successes with point and click adventure games?

Hey guys,
I'm considering moving back to GS for my upcoming adventure game "Nek Minnit". Just wondering if anyone had attempted such a game and what sort of pitfalls I'd need to look out for?
I'm a bit wary about the lack of arrays, making for loops impossible, meaning keeping track of inventory objects could be a bit of a challenge but other than that, I'm thinking GS should be able to pull off this type of game pretty easily (been a long time since I used it, so I'm gonna need to relearn).
The other option is to use Unity, with which I have licenses for iOS AND Android (so I wouldn't need to spend anything)... but I am kinda leaning toward GS for old time's sake and straightforward 2D goodness. The last few projects I have worked on have been in Unity, and while I enjoy coding, you can't beat GS for ease of use and instant gratification as a designer!
Oh, this would also probably only be an iPad/Android tablet game.
Any tips?
EDIT: Oh and while the forums such as Unity Answers are a wealth off knowledge and endless help, they are nowhere near as friendly as the GS community! THAT is a big part of my decision ;-)

Oh, and tables are arrays. That and there are several ways to make a loop in GameSalad: http://forums.gamesalad.com/discussion/53770/how-to-call-multiple-values-from-a-table-row

You probably already know this, but a point-and-click adventure game named 'Secret of Grisly Manor' is one of the most successful GameSalad titles.
I believe it made $200,000 before porting it to Corona, then another $200,000 after (not to mention the sequel!)
Hope this helps

I´m working in a 3D Aventure game using Unity + Playmaker but for a 2D Aventure Point and Click Gamesalad works great.
Sorry my english.
Seriously, when did a slideshow come to be called "point and click adventure?" I must have missed that changeover to mediocrity.
EDIT: Nope, there is a port. No iOS release though? Since I'm making the game for iPad, that makes it a bit useless. lol.
ANOTHER EDIT: Nope, I was right. No OSX version : "Please note that all of the above are ports of the game engine, not the game editor. This means you can run premade games on these platforms, but cannot create games yourself."
I'm testing an iPad release of a game created using AGS as we speak.
Do some research, there's a working iOS port here: http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/forums/index.php?topic=46040.0
Android port: http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/forums/index.php?topic=44768.0
OSX port: http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/forums/index.php?topic=45708.0
And of course, the base/original Windows version will run on Windows 7 as well as Windows 8...so you're hitting more platforms, more reliably, than GS is currently willing/able to support.
