Help, Image size problem

I am confused about the Image size. I import JEPG pics into the project, the totally size is 2.3M, but when I save the project it shows 11M, as the the gs recommend under 20M, I dont know how it comes. And how can I handle it?

Gamesalad converts jpg files into png files without optimizing them. What I did is convert all my jpg files into png by my own, optimize them with imageOptim and use these png files for the Gamesalad project.
