A short story with images...

Hey guys. First off, this is my first post on GS - I've been digging around a lot and it looks like a great community!

Secondly - I'm in the process of writing a short story with images to supplement it with. To be specific, I built each page as an
image in photoshop. I've read a few other threads about making a book with GS, but it seems like nobody really recommends it. Though on the up side, it seems like GS wouldn't be to difficult to learn. As I have no coding experience whatsoever, this may be my ticket.

If possible I'd also like to develop for most of the platforms at once. iOs (iPad, iPhone etc.), eBooks, Nook and the like. Am I dreaming?

Corona also seems like a viable alternative - and it seems to offer cross platform builds. I'm not sure how much coding it requires though, if any.

What do you guys think.

There's nothing wrong with making a picture book with GameSalad. I don't know why someone would say it's not a good idea. It's a great idea.

GameSalad is capable of multi-platform publishing. iPhone 3-5, iPad/iPad mini, Nook, Android, Windows8, Mac Desktop, Kindle, and HTML5

Corona requires pure coding in Lua, no drag and drop like GameSalad.

    Welcome to the forums!

And may I say that your forum name would be an awesome name for a Punk band!

Awesome! I still need to need to finish the story/art and then learn GS so it will be a little while till release. (probably will need to ask a question or two :p )

As for my name... haha, I could totally see that. I use it for everything.

But thanks for the info, I'll be floating around the forums then!

Welcome! @DeepBlueApps.com has some great templates including this free one: http://www.deepblueapps.com/story-book-ipad-template/

*Make sure you read the notes at that site as this is a good starting point but may not work perfectly.
