A few questions from a new user.

Hello,
I am a new user, and had a question come up that I hope you can answer.
The game I am hoping to create is a city building game. I would like the game to have a "dock" (Visual reference here: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/50480487/docktryone.png ). To place a tile you would click on the tile( in the dock) you would like to place, and then click anywhere on the "canvas"/"Map" to place it.
A. Is that possible in GameSalad?
B. What "Behaviors" would I use to accomplish that?
Thanks!
Regards,
Peter

First, welcome to GameSalad!
Second, yes, it's possible, but I would not recommend it to a newer user. I'd get familier with the engine prior to building a game like that.
We have tons of free video tutorials and demo files over at www.gshelper.com - you might wanna check those out when you have some free time.

B. You would need to understand how to drag and drop actors, how to snap actors to a grid, and how to check for the order of actors on the scene (e.g. horizontal road next to horizontal road allows movement but vertical road next to horizontal road blocks movement or is not allowed).
As @Braydon_SFX suggested, it's a fairly complicated app to start with. There are videos that will help with each of those pieces. Along with gshelper.com, you can Google phrases such as drag and drop actors gamesalad, snap to grid gamesalad and you'll generally find at least one video that will get you on the right track.
The forums are a great resource for having questions answered so if you get stuck, just head back here and post an update.
And just a note: asking which behaviors you would need to make a game like that is similar to asking which parts you would need to build a car. We could give you a long list but it wouldn't be very helpful because you wouldn't necessarily know how to put the pieces together or even what they are used for. It's better to have a precise function in mind (e.g. dragging an actor) and then ask if Move or Interpolate or Change Attribute or Constrain Attribute, etc. is best.
