I updated and now my game doesn't work :S

I'm quite new to GameSalad and I started with the 8.3 version and I was starting to get the hang of it. And when I almost finished my first game an update window popped-up and said : We now have a new update blah blah blah and now we also have iPads blah blah blah would you like to update? And I did (to version 8.5 i think). When I opened my game everything looked well until I tried to preview it. When I click on preview and the section my game should appear on is black and when I click on a scene nothing happens, and the same happens when I click the play button. But when I click 'web preview' It opens up fine and I can see my game, but then I can't play it. When I click the buttons on my keyboard that are meant to start the game or move an object nothing happens. It's like a frozen picture of my game. When I open the examples of games given on the new project page everything is fine and the example game is previewed ok. Is it because the new version is only for iPads? But even when I dragged the new version into the trash and pulled the old one out I STILL couldn't preview it, even on the old version! So has the new version damaged my game? I tried making a new game on the new version but I still couldn't preview it on the new or old. Did it not install properly? but then why wouldn't my game open on the old version when I took it out of the trash? Help please!

    Okay if you are having trouble making a new game, then it sounds like something may be wrong with the version of game salad you are running.

    First thing, delete the game salad app and also go into USER > LIBRARY > PREFERENCES and delete the game sald preference files they should be:

    com.gendaigames.GameSaladWebPlugin.plist
    com.gendaigames.GameSalad.LSSharedFileList.plist
    com.gendaigames.GameSalad.plist

    Then go back to gamesald site and download a fresh copy of the 0.8.5 version and also the web plugin for Safari.

    Then when you open up your game it should be okay.

    But as a general tip, this software is still Beta, so make regular back-ups of your game file for safe keeping.
