GameSalad + GameSpot Contest.... Spec work?
Random thought I had....
Considering Gamespot / Samsung would essentially be using and releasing the winning game as marketing material... and only the winner receives $25,000.... Would this not be considered spec work disguised as a contest? Which is banned on these forums.
Essentially you're saying "everyone do this job and we'll pay the winner (one person) for doing it."
This topic is only half-serious. Don't go crazy people...

Personally, I think this contest was **AWESOME**
Not only did the large-scale prize make this contest awesome, but also the high-profile sponsor and their ad campaign (Ads during the Oscars...for potentially your game
Just my thoughts,

Unlike most spec work scenarios, this has many more positive things going for it.
I was just thinking out loud mostly.
