Rotating in Univeral Build with constrains the camera height and Y origin instead of changing them causes drag-able actors to be un-drag-able. Without constrains it messes up the view when I rotate the phone. Any suggestions? Thanks!
@Ludwigheijden I have a suggestion!- tell the user to enable lock rotation. Tell them to double tap their home button, then scroll the multitasking bar to the left and press the button. You can include a step-by-step picture guide to show them in case some don't understand.
Good thought But its sort of passing a problem to the user in my humble opinion.
Does apple find it ok if I lock landscape to one orientation in the publish options? That's sort of the same without bothering the user with the problem. I believe hero academy does this.
I am trying to figure something out but I don't understand. In a project go to Scene - Autorotate There are tick boxes for Landscape Left, Portrait, Landscape right and Portrait Upside down. I am trying to have my levels locked so rotation does not happen once a player is in a game level. But I do want to rotate when I am in menu's and such. This is because of the problem mentioned above. I think an elegant way of preventing the screen from getting an offset due to the GSHelper Universal Build "trick" is simply not have the screen rotate once you are in a level. I can't imagine someone trying to play and turn the device at the same time. So that is why. Anyway, whatever I tick on or off the behaviour stays the same. Does the tick boxes in http://publish.gamesalad.com/ overrule this? Or am I making a mistake about how this works? Again, your thought are most welcome!
Edit: My solution for now: Since players will probably not rotate during gameplay I do a change behaviour in the games levels and a constrain behaviour in the menu's
