Save Game and Load Game

Hi,

I would like to know, if I can do this on GameSalad:

image

When I click on Load Game Button, I go to load game Scene, and then, have three options of load game that I saved before. and the button to Erase all loaded games

When I have one, two or three saved games, my Main Menu need appears like this.

It's possible do this? you know a video to explain that?

I tried to find on the internet, but doesn't work.

I used a model that I found on internet, and I made a point counter (when the player pick up coins), and I want to save it, when you turn off the game. pressing the button SAVE GAME.

but occasionally it works and sometimes not.

And every time you pickup stars on a level (Scene), should add to the existing number, and this is not happening.

    anyone can help me?

What does that mean? You couldn't find anything or what you did find didn't work, or you didn't understand how to implement it?

Maybe it's just me but I can't even figure out how to download your file and not press some ad-sponsored "download" button.

Do you have Dropbox? That tends to work really well for sharing files.

I tried again and the download link takes me to another advertising-laden page that says "Wait time 20 seconds" but never refreshes or gives me an option for downloading."

Hopefully Dropbox will work for you. If not, some people also share via MediaFire.

I don't use Dropbox yet... but here in my company I can't install, because the proxy and bla..bla...

But... I think. In the beginner, I'll try do something more simple... I'll not use Save game, Load Game, Options buttons...

I'll save and load in the easy way... and I'd like know... if I can use the same Key on save and load attribute to save all things in my game (levels unlocked, points, lives...) or I need create a different key each thing?

You would use the same key name for each attribute. So if you are saving the score, you might use Score and then if you are loading it, you would use Score again. Each attribute needs its own key.

The alternative (and generally a much better alternative) is to use a table and just Save the table when you need to. Table data is automatically loaded when the game starts.

Then I recommend starting with the FAQs (see link in my signature below) and the Cookbook and whatever videos you can watch to learn some of the basics.
