Looking for Games to Publish

Hey everyone,

I am a publisher who is currently looking for some games to publish. We are exclusively an iOS publisher so if you are interested please let me know. We have two options for you. We have a simple market launch plan which is a $250 market launch strategy and a $1000 market launch strategy. I recommend including Playhaven in your game, which you the developer gets to keep 100% of Playhaven revenue. We split app store revenue 65 Developer 35 Publisher. We put behind our years and network to your advantage. I have more details for anyone interested. Keep making games!

There is a lot wrong with this. I'll just point out one though. You recommend advertising on an app people pay for? End users are gonna be P*ssed! Very bad marketing strategy right of the bat so... I don't know.

Or it could mean if you have a free app put Ads in it because we take 35% of Iaps revenue. That way you can earn a bit extra

Do you have a website, or previous apps you published ect @rwaller1

What a joke. It's not even a funny joke when you see the guy has no experience with publishing apps.

It's pretty much a "you make the game and we'll profit off it" kind of venture. At least with a legit publisher you can guarantee an increase in game sales that justifies the publisher split.....

I've been doing contract work on GS for a while now. I do coding, trailers et... The horror stories some of my clients have told me are shameful. Let the buyer beware! Always check a person out before hiring them! Get references, prior work et... There are a few really good contractors here on GS and there are a lot of wanna bees. Same goes for contractors. I only take clients who understand the process and have a detailed plan. This means I turn down about 90% of the work offers I get and accept only 10% of them. A good contractor will have no problem providing you with a body of work. I even provide a prototype for my clients and demonstrate it via video or adhoc before I take any money. If I take on a project I finish it and provide support for my work even after the work is done. The Internet provides opportunity but also enables people to setup services without having any skin in the game aka it's cheap to setup a site and make claims, it's a whole other ball game to deliver on those promises.

    Hey Peter,
In a paid app you never want to have pop up ads, but you should always add a more games button. It is free money you are leaving on the table and more importantly, you players will not mind a more games option from the menu. :) That is all I was saying.

I am assuming you looked at my website which is currently under going a redesign and saw the apps section. If you did a little more research you would have found that we have done one very successful game called Ultimate Picture Spot the Difference with over 55,000 in two months, which for a spot the difference game is a good launch. Just FYI. Also, my background has been marketing and films until last year. I have been doing app marketing for over two years and decided to move us into it last year. I can guarantee that I have strategies you haven't used that could increase your downloads and make people money. It is also why I suggested people add a more games via Playhaven even to a paid game.

I agree completely for both contractors and developers. I also highly recommend that when entering into a publishing agreement make sure there is legal documentation to go with it.

I am confused. You want the person you are Publishing to pay you $250 or $1,000? I am sure I am missing something.

The details weren't clear from the start and I'm sure @rwaller1 can give a better picture but here's what I got out of it:

You submit your project file to @rwaller1 and s/he publishes on the App Store and gives you back 65% of the App Store revenue (after Apple takes its cut). You can optionally include Playhaven ads and you will receive 100% of the proceeds from those.

You are paying to have @rwaller1 market the game for you. I'm not exactly sure why giving away publishing rights is part of the deal since they aren't required to market an app.

    I, too have a $250 promoting plan.

    Bench ads.

But seriously, @rwaller1, do you have anything you can show us that backs your validity? It's hard to trust someone offering a service like this with no information about them.

Check out his indiegogo campaign for Thunder Gods. It's obvious he knows nothing about marketing. Did he really think he was going to get $45,000 from a video like that?

I do. I also have a referrals as well. Here is our first game. Nothing amazing, just a simple spot the difference game but it has done very well for us.

I actually agree with you completely. We should have started it at $6000 and do stretch goals. The campaign was pulled from the listing in comics per our request, but because people had given money we left the campaign up. In fact, we learned a good amount about it, and we are looking at doing a detailed kickstarter for our Thundergods game and hiring Jeff McCord to help us run it. Jeff did Sword of Fargoal and has successfully help launch over ten kickstarters.

I think the concern is that you have a background in films and your marketing video is unimpressive. I'm really not trying to harp on you... you may mean well. But the community here is careful because people have been burned before.

Can you add a single post (or edit your top post) and explain all of the details? Why are you requiring that app developers allow you to publish their work? How exactly are you planning to market apps? What services you do already have in place and which ones are you planning to add soon? What is the different between the $250 and the $1000 plans?

    Sorry. Gotta close this.

App Promotion/Advertising/Publishing services aren't allowed at all in the main forums. You can contact @SaladStraightShooter and have him add your service to the proper category.
