I must say it looks much more professional and visually appealing than your last one. The background is a little confusing though.

@Zenith_Digital The background is just a desert scene
And thanks for the feedback , do you think there is anything i could add or change ?

I would suggest adding a sound when buttons are pressed. At least I personally like getting a little feedback to know I hit something.

Other than that, it looks great!

Perhaps the mix of desert and metal is a bit off. I can tell you tried to balance things out by changing the hue of the sand, but as @Zenith_Digital said, the change does make it a bit vague. Perhaps I'm just not used to seeing a desert scene in that color :) have you tried letting go of the grunge effects and tire marks?

By the way I like how he's now facing the front as opposed to the side view style of the past version.

Okai bro i was thinking of adding some sounds, the main purpose of the video , was to show the animation of the buttons and the graphics :)

The main reason for the grunge effect is cause , motorcross is dirty

So it is actualy in style of the motorcross theme and the tyre tracks are for the bike

Dont u think the color blends in nice ?

In my opinion, the look of a game scene needs to jump out almost instantly, and the player should get a feel of the environment very quickly. In your current background, I just think the different elements clash with each other and it isn't clear that it is meant to be the scene for bike riding. It looks very dark and lacks a sense of openness and freedom.

Good point(s) :) perhaps the problem lies elsewhere. I'm inclined to suggest adding pyramids, but that might make it look too Egypt-ey :D

In terms of blending, yes they work out nicely :) and the shadowing of your character adds appropriate depth - it doesn't look like he's floating or simple pasted on top of the scene. Good job on balancing the reds and the blues :)

If you or your friend created the background, I would suggest adding a new curving tire track from somewhere in the back, leading to your biker. Then you can let go of the floating tire tracks and it will look like your background is indeed a rally/track/place :) whatever you call it.

Any idea of the reasoning behind not paying you? Was it because of dissatisfaction with the end results, or that he never intended to pay you in the first place and was just using you?

I think that @SaladStraightShooter should see and say what he think/could do?

No....not really. He was real cool for a little while and then he started to try and do a partnership but we had agreed on payment previously so I wanted to just get paid for what I did.... He then took the artwork, changed it up a little so I came down in price and haven't heard from him since.

I didn't even want to post what I said but I have been around these forums for the past 3 years or so and wanted to warn anyone else...

Well I tried a number of times contacting you via skype and email and I haven't heard anything from you. I find it a bit odd, now that I called you out on this, that you are responding right away. I wanted to give a friendly warning to those other users out there who you may come in contact with in the future to just get their money up front.

I have the emails and messages to prove this as well. I am not trying to tarnish you as a user but all of the sudden you fell off the face of the earth

I like the menu! - You know what you can do to make it nicer:
PAY THE ARTIST THAT DID IT FOR YOU
  • JordeyyJordeyy Member Posts: 409
@leonarddeveloper have you even looked at my comments previously ?

Cause I have explained why I haven't yet payed him

And he didn't design it all he designed half the bike and tyre marks and the paint splat

Dont ask for services if you cant afford to pay for them simple.

always have your money ready if you want a service.

The person doing the work knew 1/2 way through about me having to do my visa and agrees to the terms and carried on

This isn't my fault, he is just over reacting
I am goin to pay him when my visa is on my PayPal

You should of told the artist right from the off, not half way through!

Basically, i'll reiterate from above ...

These kinds of conversations between parties who have requested services and parties who have delivered (or not) said services need to be done privately through email or the private messaging feature.

Though they've been stated before, I'll re-iterate a couple of points:

    1. GameSalad, Inc. is not going to help you out when someone doesn't fulfill their part of a private agreement.

    2. If you are requesting services or fulfilling requests, it is always recommended that you have a legal contract prior to starting any work.
