Can this effect be replicated in GS?

Check out this video 00:18 seconds to 00:25 seconds.

I'd like to replicate this in GS (not near that many actors & no strings). I'd like to press a round button (phone in the video) and then other round buttons spawn from behind the actor and fly out a preset distance and sorta bounce a bit before resting X distance from the main button.

I seen a few GS demos that make me believe it can be done (i.e. constrain fun, orbit demo), I just don't know where to start.

Yea, I'd say everything is possible aside from the strings looking so string like.

    Yea, I thought so too.

The strings aren't important to me. I just want to know where to start with trying to duplicate this affect.

I modified a demo I posted recently to simulate actors spreading out in a circle. My trig skills aren't solid enough to make this look better without spending too much time on it and I haven't added a bounce effect yet, but it might get you started.

Just click anywhere to see the effect.

I replaced the table with trig functions and added a little wiggle at the end.

This version also has some nice, neat game attributes (SpreadRadius and NumPoints) so you can try out different combos.
