InApp purchases for Android

Hello all,

is there any schedule for implementing inApp purchases for Android? I am developing games with this feature for iOS but then I need to reconsider the game for Android, as the inApp purchase is not available.

I have paid a Pro license and in my previous games, this was not a problem. But as the inApp purchase is almost the standard way of receiving some income, the Android feature is now absolutely necessary.

Thank you

@PBGames - They may have the same functionality, but they obviously have to be set up differently.

Hoping to get them soon, as my game desperately needs it.

GameSalad is still working to find the best implementation for android IAP.

The reason is unlike iOS where its the same API for all devices for android they have to figure out a user friendly way to setup for as many android stores as possible. You have google play, nook, amazon, Samsung App Store and a variety Of other third party android based markets.

So it gets pretty obvious pretty quick if they only support 1 stores IAP they will be crucified for hampering ones ability to have the same android option across all stores.

I personally would not expect the android IAP for a while still. But I guess you never know for sure.

I certainly hope not. I can understand what you're saying, but I hope they can figure it out. This and things such as joints seem the be the most asked for things as of recently.

I say start on one store, the most popular and add one at a time ... Google Play, Amazon are the most popular so start with Google and go from there.

See its all in the eye of the beholder. I hate google play and think amazon is almost as worthless. The only android store I have made any money on us nook. So what determines the most popular or important? Cause your view is different than mine. And both of us are different than the next guy.

Any store would show progress and be a start in fairness .. you could also argue, that stores where you have made no money, i.e. google and amazon are testament as to why we need in app. You make no money through sales so set it free and go with in app ... oh wait, we cant at the moment ;)
