Hmm in first time wss problems with orientation. I fixed it to left and right lanscape ( all scenes edited) And name of app in end was my game ipad.. - "ipad is not allowed" but apple show directions:

For example, the following are acceptable:
GreatApp - with tagline "for iPad"
GreatApp - with tagline "iPad edition"
GreatApp - with tagline "iPad version"

I fixed name to mu game for ipad

In second reject was just one problem - in one stage wall one small bug, i fixed

Now in 3rd reject again they said that not allowed to us iPad in game name and made direction that:
For example, the following are acceptable:
GreatApp - with tagline "for iPad"
GreatApp - with tagline "iPad edition"
GreatApp - with tagline "iPad version" are acceptable... Butmy game finishes with "for ipad"

Hmm and again said that works only in left landscape.. but all stages are edited to work in bouth landscape modes and bout checkboxes too..- so now i am going to upload again the same binary.. i think they are mistaken..

they replied just now: currently your loading/launch image only appears in the landscape orientation with the home button to the left, although your application supports both landscape orientations. Hmm how it can be???? launc image just in one orentation, but game in bout ..

  • JaxterJaxter Member, PRO Posts: 398

Funny how they want to shut cross-compilers down because it opens the doors to publish to other platforms, yet when you want to name your game "xxx FOR IPAD," they flip out.

Was the capitalization an issue? It may sound dumb, but Apple sees "ipad" and "IPAD" as being ontologically different (and ergo undesirable, a dilution of the brand, blah blah blah) than "iPad". Corporate trademark and identity guidelines can be astoundingly picky.

iPad was i my case.. i think they are so subjective and one person can accept some things another reject app
  • JaxterJaxter Member, PRO Posts: 398
hmm and i think what will be with that orentation, because now i did the same how it was in rejected binary ..

I haven't done a publish for iPad in GS yet, but I believe that you have to include each orientation for the splash screen. Here's a page that talks about it:

You appear to name your game above..."for ipad" and not "for iPad". The capital P is critical in Apple's eyes!

no no in game name was for iPad.. in forum was mistake.. so Colin in wirst time i chekcked al 4 orentations.. but here was erritr alos for that because this game is playable only in landscape.. and in export dialog.. those 4 checkboxes for orentation is only for louch screen or for all game ( i also in game in all scenes have bouth landscape orentations enabled.) ?

I looked at the advanced mode, and it does seem to not support the upside down splash screens. Looking at Mirror's Edge, it seems GS isn't the only case where only one way up is used for the splash screen. EA's solution to the problem is to have an abstract splash screen, where it doesn't matter too much that the design is the wrong way up.

You are not allowed to even mention the word pad as jobs believes her owns it. Read about it on www.theregister.com

Regarding the splash screen. Looks like only pro users can set their splash to something which looks same in all directions but normal users can't change from default logo so were screwed if developing for iPad.

I'm pretty sure you can use the word pad since you can do a search for ipad under ipad apps and see a bunch for sale that say "for iPad"
