It is a *masterpiece*.

I could write forever on it, but I'd risk spoiling it for you. The story is mysterious and satisfying. The setting astounding in its attention to detail and sense of place and period.

Graphically it's beautiful. Aurally, it uses sound and music brilliantly.

It will make you smile. It will make you laugh. It will make you scared.

It will make you care.

This is the kind of game I dream of making. Yes, it's a shooter. But it's also so much more than that!

It's great!:) I would also suggest jc2 as a must play game! It's awesome, open gameplay, you can explode everything and it has great graphics, playable in 3d. Also a lot of mods! in this video a slow motion mod were used (no slowdown of the footage in a media editor)

I didn't really like the last one but have heard nothing but good things about this, might grab a 2nd hand copy off ebay in a month or so.

Having too much fun with my 3ds and Luigi's Mansion atm.

Just finished Bioshock Infinte The ending blew me away, this game has it all, great story, great soundtrack, great visual style and artwork, awsome characters, and a great fictional big world. In fact I found the world so interesting i just wished this was a role playing game like Skyrim Fallout etc, where i could talk to people and get involved, not just shoot everything and everyone hehe. Great game, and a lot of inspiration even for us small developers.

I played 1 and loved it, 2 was worth playing but no where near as good as 1 and wasn't sure if I'd continue with the series or not. I guess I'm going to have too!

I'm surprised this one isn't being mentioned more in the general media (as in misinformed) like what usually happens when controversial themes are displayed In a game. Maybe times are changing (yeah right).

Haven't played a real console game since inFamous2.. but I'm intrigued by BI....

I have tried to play original Bioshock like 3 times. But I've always quit. This game is just not for me. That's why almost nothing will convince me to play Bioshock Infinite. At the moment I'm addicted to DayZ. Really speeding development of my game to finish it before DayZ Standalone is finished, cause this game will defiantly kill all my spare time for a very very long period.

It's really that good. Same as you, I played and loved 1, was a bit disappointed with 2, and wasn't sure if I'd go on with the series.

The freebies given away for pre-ordering a copy of the game made me incredibly suspicious too as to its quality (especially after Aliens: Colonial Marines ) so I didn't pre-order till the reviews hit.

Which were all excellent of course!

I've not been disappointed. It has been on my mind since I finished it. I'm eager to give it another run through, but I'm waiting for it to get out of my head first.

I've been telling everyone I know to play it. There are people who will NEVER play it because they're not gamers so will never hear of this, let alone sit in front of a screen to play it. I genuinely feel sorry for them!

You're all gamers, right?

These people deserve your money! Buy it!

Really loved the first Bioshock. The second one was good too but didn't really bring much new to the table.. Bioshock Infinite is one of the games that is on my short list.. when I feel like gaming again, for now (and for quite some time) GS dev. takes up most of my free time.. its evil! ...and soon comes "The Last of us", that will be something. Need more time!

I just started playing the first Bioshock earlier this year, about to finish it I think. Creepy, but great game. Can't wait to play Infinite, keep hearing great things about it and it looks neat.

The main designer(Ken Levine) is an awesome guy. If you get a chance, listen to his interviews about the game and games in general. Very intelligent & insightful.

Bah! Bioshock 2 was great fun! It expanded the storyline/universe, characters/classes and explained how things came to be. The additional gamplay features were a plus. It might not have been everyone's cup'o tea, buy it certainly explored the psychosis of the masses that inhabited Rapture more so than the original.
