Iap just for "support developer"

Hi

Has anyone ever done an Iap just for supporting developer, where the player can just give a dollar. Doesn't do anything.?

Do people actually donate?

And is this possible to do?

    No idea.. But in android you can just add a donate button or create a donate version of a free app that does nothing..

    I actually have this system in one of my app. The app is an utility and it isn't made with Gamesalad but with Xcode. Anyway, apple allow it. You need to set the purchase to not-consumative so you don't need a restore purchase behavior and the user can buy it multiple times.     Thats very interesting, i would assume apple would allow, do you find people donate? Have any?

    Very low percentage of the user: I would say > 0.1 of the people but I had some donations. In the new update that I am going to submit, I will explain better this thing of the donations or "Buy a coffee" to the user.

    I'm going to have a support developer/no iAds (turns of show banner behaviour) button in my new free game i'm releasing soon. Don't know how it will do but hopefully get something out of it.
