Can I create a newsstand app with GS?

It seems like one could, Im just not sure if there is a stumbling block

    No, I don't think so. From the Apple documentation: "Publish the latest issues of your magazines and newspapers directly to Newsstand using the Newsstand Kit and Store Kit frameworks."

    So you need to use this frameworks that are only available with Xcode.
