The Kindle HD and the 8.9 version have different resolutions but they scale up correctly the original has a different resolution and want scale properly so you will get the black bar effect but that can be worked out with overscan, your choice really but I went with the Kindle HD its nice really.
I also have a Mac mini and you will need to install Android SDK and I use Android File Transfer to move projects over for testing super easy.
Also note on my computer anyway having the Android SDK installed slows down my Gamesalad program so I rename the folder SDKoff when not in use and you only need to rename it back to SDK when your ready to sign your app.

Yes, all Kindle Fire's work with GS. You will need a Pro account to publish to Android.
Bear in mind Kindle Fire HD has different aspect ratio to regular Kindle Fire.
    Cheers.

    Hi BBEnk and ZZap64,

Thanks for the help, much appreciated. So, then, Kindle Fire doesn't automatically sync with the published .apk, like the .ipa? So then I would need to install Android File Transfer and transfer the published .apk to the folder in Kindle Fire for testing purposes, also would I need the viewer as well? Also, you mentioned aspect ratio, are your referring to dimensions or ppi? Right now, I'm saving my .png graphics with 72 ppi, should I save them with 169 ppi? I do have a Pro Account.....Thanks and God Bless.... :)

    Sincerely,

Also, aspect ratio and pixel dimensions are seperate. You can have devices with same aspect ratios but different pixel screen size. Just wiki them to get an overview.
    Cheers.
