Budz.

Budz is now available free on the App Store. Would really appreciate any comments from fellow GameSaladeers. It's designed for the widest age range possible, from toddlers to adults. Features the crazy dancing and singing Budz, colourful mono-syllabic creatures that pop up on your device. You can watch them dance, play a virtual instrument featuring the Budz voices or even play the Budz game. It's free to download and play and the game is an optional in-app purchase. From the get go, the iTunes Preview for your app is sort of flat -- could use a bit more work ie provide more information as to what the app is about, what you can do, what is a Budz, etc :)

What's working for you already though, is your art. Looks really good and appropriate for the target age group.

What I definitely found annoying was, I totally had no idea which ones were Free features, and which ones were iAPs.

The app is cluttered with very misleading pages :| whenever Game Instructions popped up, when I tap anywhere on the screen it prompts an iAP purchase. Same with the [+] button, too. Crazy!

And some other non-functional "buttons" (eg. reset score).

I don't know how this got through Apple's QA. The way I see it, it's quite dangerous for a 4+ game to have access to iAPs this way. Unless that's your strategy with this app? :)

Thanks for the great feedback. I've sent an update yesterday that changes the "play game" button to "Get game" for those who havent downloaded it yet. I'll flesh out the description too now, thank you. Reset score actually resets the high score to 0. (if you have the game installed)

A password is always needed to download iAPs which will prevent any unauthorised purchases. :) Thanks again!

Ah, then perhaps implementing some feedback to tapping buttons would help :) eg On Touch. do a quick Change Image of the same button but in a different shade (most probably, darker) -- then relocate your original Rule to an On Release and Change Image back to the original. This way, you know you're really pressing something. Display your High Score somewhere near your Reset button, so you can see it being reset back to 0.

Little things can make big differences :) good luck and congrats!

Good idea, thanks. It shouldn't be there until they've downloaded the game. I'll fix that. When it's pressed with the game downloaded it actually does bleep. :)
