You don't have to start over. The creator just adds a "pro" behaviors button so you can add the new features.

Hi @digitalzero there's no worries, you won't lose any of your work; when you become pro, just open the gamefile as usual in GSC and then the only difference will be the additional behaviours you can use, IAP, Tweet Sheet, Open URL, etc. :-)

Edit: @DeadlySeriousMedia beat me to it!

@gyroscope and @deadlyseriousmedia some of this stuff i have no idea what it means... like tweet sheet i have no idea what that means lol and IAP and also i know the forum has been talking about this whole LUA thing... i have NO IDEA how this stuff works lol... but is there a way in pro to have your game give you notifications to your phone and how would i be able to do the whole prompt if they wanna rate the game and of course there would be a benefit from that... im thinking like something like 100 coins or something... and not have that typical "blue apple message" come up because thats exactly what im thinking of doing can you please explain some of these things to me?

Tweet sheet is a GameSalad behavior that will post to a twitter page.

There are no "Push Notifications" in GameSalad yet, so there is no way to have anything sent to your phone...Yet.

You run the risk of your app being rejected during review if you offer a reward for people to rate your app. Yes, some apps out there have this feature, but you can be rejected for it, as it has happened to GameSalad users already, more than once. You can try it, but be prepared to be shot down.

Lua free engine is not ready for prime time, and I would not base any decisions, or design your game around the new engine (which is not possible to know how to do anyway) right now. It's supposed to help with load times and such, but it is not some gift from God that is going to change the game making industry when using GameSalad. It may never even come to fruition, anyway. We don't know yet.

***I repeat...Please do not buy Pro with the expectation that Lua free (native code) is somehow going to make you a game creating superhero***

They are continuously working on engine improvements to help with load times, and performance, etc...etc... with every update, as the engine is in it's current state. Which is Lua based.

    Hope that helps!

@digitalzero if you go through the gamesalad cookbook it will show how to use tweet sheet and IAP (in app purchase).

Also someone else had problems offering coins to rate the game (apple rejected it) but he might of got a bad reviewer that day. You could try it, just be warned it might get rejected cause of it.

As of right now you cannot make notifications to the device. Even as a pro member.

Hope all this helps you out

@digitalzero Apps that offer rewards for ratings are most often rejected because the reviewer from Apple feels like this might artificially affect the app's rating in the App Store.

If you really want to try your luck at having that reward feature and being approved, make sure you are not stating that the user gets the reward for dropping a good review (eg. "Rate us 5 Stars and get 100 extra coins!") -- but no guarantees, still :)
