Awkward moment when .....

You demonstrate your game to a group of people and you can't solve a level. *walk of shame*

So here I was, 7 months since I starter the project and was announcing my latest beta update.
3.3.0

(not really sure how it works but someone set it up so I could do this)

And they all play it ect. However this was the biggest one so far and included an extra 100 levels and a working menu, level select ect.

Mind you I take feedback very seriously, I just refuse to take it from developers because chances are they are going to try copy it then buy it.

Anyhow, the game features a new type of puzzle genre. It was pretty easy to pick up and play. I was demostrating how the level section works and how it saves and collects data. So I went onto a level, one of the easier ones to show that no changes were made to the actual gameplay and was still functioning well.

But I couldn't solve the level, normally it takes me an average of 5 seconds to complete a level, a normal testers about ten. But after seven attempts I had to get help to complete it. And I made the game and levels .

But in my defense everything is done in tables so I do not actually place down the levels.
Anyhow have to get back to more developing, 3.4.0 won't be here by it's self :)

But there you go, even after making it I still found it hard to complete a basic level that a nine year old can solve.

*walk of shame*

I think this is a good thing I have 32 levels which I have played many many time. I have not beta tested my game yet but I always worry it will be too easy. No shame in creating something challenging it’s a hard thing to get right. Challenging game that also provides you with steady progression are the best type.

    @dwibre and @FryingBaconStudio

Totally agree, it is by far the best thing can happen. It's why those things happen is to determine which order levels should go in.
I spend a lot of time around those levels so yes my opinion of an easy level is , as recently discovered not easy for them. And of course the opposite way around.
What was embarrassing was letting the nine year old solve it in give seconds which I couldn't solve in like five minutes.

To me that's bill gates showing off a new windows, windows 9, and tries to access a document and can't seem to do it. Then along comes Steve jobs and does it straight away. That's why it felt.

But end result, the first 250 levels are now in a great order. So a lot of good cane out of it.

Give a game to a 9 year old and they will always shame you. My 5 year old nephew always wins at wii bowling (I refuse to play anymore lol)

@dwibre I gave up at Wii bowling a long time ago. Little people can bowl circles around me. Haha so I know how it feels.
Thanks, it's a simple but very unique game. :)
