iPad Landscape vs. HD

Sorry, this maybe a silly question but because I don't have an iPad, I have to ask:

If I want to make a landscape orientated iPad app with GS, will I have to select `iPad Landscape` or `HD`?

Why is there a difference in the resolution of an iPad app?

Everyone is tending to name their iPad games with HD on the end. An iPad is not actually High Definition, the graphics are just bigger, its like how a lot of the free games are called 'lite', it just seems to be the way people are naming things

So, the HD Target Display in GS will be selected when I want to make a desktop game?

Hmm, so - Don't use the Target Display of 1280x720 (HD) ? when I select that
and go into the scene attributes it lists the size as 1080x720 (bug?)

or is it just best when designing an iPad landscape app to just use the 1024x768 target display?

    storm.

The iPad's screen size is 1024x768 (or 768x1024), so when designing an iPad game, it's necessary to pick one of those sizes.

The HD size is only for a widescreen Desktop game.
