Hey guys, I uploaded the free iPhone version of Doodle Cannon. It has 15 levels and 3 PvP levels. It's been reworked and is now 137% more advanced than the current iPad version. I am about to submit but I would like some feedback and any reports of any bugs you all find while playing. Have fun and thanks!

    I played it for a good 20 minutes (yeah, its really that good), and i dont see anything wrong with it. I got stuck on one of the last levels (cant really be sure which, as they are not numbered), but thats probably a good test for you.

    Looks nice! Congratulations.
    I'm waiting here in Canada the iPad will be out maybe the 24th. So I will hurry to get one and test the app. on a real device.

    I really liked it. I got stuck on one of the later levels as well; I believe it was the one where you have to move the rotating platform in order to get a shot.

    I would also have liked to see what level I was on; especially since you have the resume option...

    I did have one anomaly where the guy was shield by some of the thin platforms but the blast killed him anyways; not sure if that is intentional or not.

    I'd buy it.

    @Rattlehead- That level is kinda tough. It's def possible, but maybe I should make it a bit easier? And yes, I will have to get the level number display in there soon too. As far as the blasting through thin materials bit, it's intentional. As long as he's in the blast radius you blow him up. I think it makes the game less frustrating than if everything blocked you.

    @CBM: I'll have to maybe go back and try it again but I like difficult levels; it wasn't frustrating... I just gave up before I managed to succeed. Maybe play with the spin speed? Maybe if it were a tad slower the player could get the second shot off before being blocked.

    I also agree that the blast zone should be effective regardless of barriers. I just thought I'd mention it in case it wasn't a part of the design.

    Come to think of it, I think I'll go and play a few rounds now before getting back to coding which is no fun... at least when it's for work. :(

    @Rattlehead / @crazybreadman the platform you have to rotate is where i got stuck too ... i have no idea what comes after this, but id expect this to be the difficulty one would see at the end of the game before all my levels were completed.

    Of course, you know your users better than I do, and maybe we both suck at this type of game. ;)

    @ Spaceneedle- lol, ok I think I can move that level to a later point in the game. One thing that may not be clear is the spinner's speed is set by how hard you hit it. So if you just tap it then it moves slow and makes it easier to get the shot. But I think I'll just plug in an easier level in that spot, make a reward system ( bronze-gold metals) for 1/2/3 shot wins and then submit today! btw anyone try out the PvP mode?

    I just did and noticed something interesting...

    Level 1:
    Player 1 shot and hit the spinner; everything as expected.
    Player 2 shot and hit the spinner and it moved the thin roof; everything as expected.
    Player 1 didn't even start his turn the spinner started moving slowly, then sped up a bit and the slowed down to a stop.

    If I hadn't really been paying attention for stuff, I don't I'd have noticed.

    This is a pretty trivial idea, but I was thinking that you could maybe pencil in a power meter alongside the bar you have so the player knows where you are at 25, 50, 75, or 99.99% power.

    I've been using the graph paper lines to gauge where I am roughly but that would be a nice enhancement and shouldn't be too tough to add (famous last words).

    @Rattlehead- I don't know what to make of the spinner situation you mentioned. I think I'm going to change it back to how it is on the iPad version. They just move for a second when you hit them and then they stop. And thanks for the reminder... I am going to put a power meter on it right now! I just got used to it, and neglected to put one on lol.

    @ Butterbean- Thanks! Yes, I did the art and music for this one. I used Illustrator and a tablet for the graphics. My favorite thing about making apps is that I get to do it all :)

    Just uploaded the new version and finally submitted it. New award system, power level indicator, and a few other improvements w/ sound, art, and gameplay. Please give the award system a run through and test it out for me. Thanks!

    Hit the spinner pretty hard so it gets out of your way then shoot right when the gate opens. Your bomb should last long enough for the gate to throw it at the monster. It's tricky but when you figure it out it's easy to repeat.
