Yeah, it's on Steam. I'm a longtime Dota player. Played the Dota 1 mod on Warcraft 3 for years. Then moved on to Dota 2. Great game. Careful, though, it'll consume you!

You know, Dota 1 was a mod for Warcraft 3 built using their game editor. Its that kind of success that really got me excited about coming to GameSalad. An entire new genre of games came from that game editor. It's an awesome thing to put game development in the hands of the masses!

I used to play Dota 1 way back when. Never got too good at it, everyone I played against blew me out of the water. Because of this, I've never really gotten in to it.

But its good to see someone so passionate working to make GameSalad better. (Not saying the others aren't passionate, this just isn't there thread.)

Yeah, problem with Dota is that you really REALLY have to like losing. It's a rough community. Hard game. Just the way I like it. I'm also a big fan of Street Fighter 4. Love playing in tournaments with that game.

Yeah, I'm a competitive gaming guy. Take them too seriously, perhaps...

    Nah!

Don't even get me started on fighting games. They are the bane of my existance. Back in my highschool days I played Counter Strike on a semi-competitive level. Haven't tried the new one, though I've heard good things.

I know of the Dota and can appreciate it and the likes of WoW, but point and click in action or RPGs just looses me which is odd, because I dig RTS games. I think I must get my fill from those play types in the other genres I typically play. I really tried to play and enjoy Diablo 3, but I just didn't, yet I have nothing against it. So it must be an overdose of playtypes/mechanics.

I heard some GiantBomb love about Dota. It sounds amazing what they are doing for their supporters/community. Sadly, It's like liver, I can't eat it.

If anyone wants test their dogfighting might in Warhawk...you may find me poking around there. It's mostly hardcore and old schoolers these days, but the servers are still tick'n. Great freaking game too.

BattleField 3 is really the only other online thing I do. @FryingBaconStudios and I play in a Clan/Platoon often after a hard days work on out own game.

I still get the most satisfaction for the multiplayer arcade experience. Nothing like getting your game on with a sea of gamers.

I was a top player on Socom until Sony screwed it up used to put in 6 hours a night on it. Now I'm rocking battlefield with @RP and so e of my old clan members from Socom. It's a great game but most of the users don't play it up to it's potential strategy wise. I blame the separate Microsoft chat party ability as not many people use the team chat function. But we do get some heavy strategic matches going from time to time. I dig the strategy elements as it's kind of like chess with guns, tanks and jets!

Although, both my sons are hardcore PC gamers and play dota 2. My youngest 16 just build a rockin hard core PC with watercooled processor and watercooled graphics chip. Serious hardware and they like to over clock.

Not played it myself. But listening to the GiantBomb podcast, (http://www.giantbomb.com/podcasts/) and hearing Brad talk about playing it.....seems like it can quite easily take over your life ;)

I play Dota 1. Very interesting game when you play with friends. We use internet client Garena. I want to say that there are a lot of map hackers and cheaters.
Because of this, there is a lot of drama and swearing between players during the game. :)

I used to play HoN. Sadly, I stopped playing due to a customer service issue. Can't support that company any more. I do miss Puppet Master though! :D

SF2 Champion Edition arcade is still the best version Capcom ever did! But then, that's the bias of my childhood talking.
