Noobie needs help to get started on my first app.

I am completely new to Game Salad, infact completely new to app community. My target was first of all to create apps for childeren and infants, with simple games and learning games etc.
For my first project I would like to modify/create a custom youtube player,
With my two years old daughter who loves watching youtube videos on my android phone it is hard to keep tab on "related items" etc and sometimes she ends up putting on a video showing garbage with dubbing etc. With cartoons like PINGU with innocent pinguin talking baby language, someone on youtube found out that they can dub it with sexual or adult language with words I do not wish my daughter to learn before she is in junior high at least.
I wish to make a youtube based player, which will through wifi or network retrieve a playlist and show it as icons where she is allowed to watch selected videos added by me (or a parent) so that we control what nursery rhymes or cartoons she is watching.
I understand I can control it like creating Scenes, where Scene 1 is links to videos in shape of icons, and Scene 2, 3, 4 are videos but I would like some help to modify youtube player so it does not show related items and when the video is finished playing, it goes back to menu automatically.
The second challange is to make a "lockable" player; with Samsung putting "Back" and "menu" buttons touchable on the side, she often presses it when she is watching videos when she is holding the phone in both hands. (Like the regular Video player in android where you can press power button to lock all controls except volume)
Next step would ofcourse be to make a customizeable HTML playlist where videos can be added after as aswel without me having to create a new app for every time.
Anyone who can push me into the right direction? For the record I am doing this as a charity. Since I don't own copyrights to any videos on youtube, I do not wish to charge anything for such app, and I do not want links to be displayed in the app either since it is a childerens app, I don't want her to apply for a creditcard while watching cartoons.

I don't want to dissuade you at all but I don't personally think Gamesalad is the right tool for this project. With Gamesalad we are confined to the particular set of behaviours already built in to the engine (at least until custom scripting comes along) and I don't think that much of what you're intending to do is achievable in Gamesalad right now. You can certainly display links to YouTube videos, but once you get in to building custom players and removing links from around the YouTube videos then you are really within the realms of web development, and are looking at something quite outside of Gamesalad's reach.
You may already know this though and may be looking for assistance with the web dev side of things, so if that's the case somebody more knowledgeable than me might be able to chip in soon. However personally I think there will be other SDks better suited to your needs. Good luck!
