You could look at corona and unity but the pro versions are more expensive, especially unity. I use both as well as gamesald depending on the type of game i'm working on

If I'm not mistaken Xcode is just Apples SDK for iOS and Mac So if you plan to offer your games on any other platform then Xcode is not the best option.
Now I believe the nice thing about it is you can code your game in something like Obj C and then most platform SDKs will be able to use your Obj C project.
Though… One might think the Working with GameSalad Category on the GameSalad drag and drop SDK forums is probably not the best place to be asking or learning about Code. Just saying...

i was hoping to make a gamesalad game but also make a 3d game , which unfortunately cant be done using game salad
