GS Viewer update error

In the past I have not had a problem testing games on iPads. Recently I get an error message saying I need to update the GS Viewer. I went through the very long process of installing the GS Viewer that is posted on this site thinking they must have changed something. However, I keep getting the same error.

I am using a Mac with Lion operating system. Any suggestions?

Have you downloaded the latest release of the viewer? You need to do this every time you update GameSalad.

I downloaded the release of the GS viewer from the link at the bottom of the GameSalad.com website yesterday. That is the latest release, right?

Yeah, that's the up to date one. What error exactly are you getting?

GameSalad Viewer Update Required - Please download and install the latest version of GameSalad Viewer... BUT I DO IT /:) Can you help me please

Yep, I'm getting the same thing. Back on GameSalad after a break so installing on a new Mac and iPhone 5. Got Xcode to install the viewer (downloaded in the past hour from the link on the GS homepage) and it's on my phone. Tried to run a preview and got that same error. Anyone got any ideas?

make sure you delete the old viewer from your device before building and installing the new version.

It's a new device that's never had the viewer installed on it, installed from a new Mac that's never had Xcode on it before today. All new!

Oh, and GS itself was only installed at the weekend.

Sorry to bump this, but I resolved the issue. I downloaded again from the front page of GS, deleted the 'old' (like, two hours old) version of GameSalad Viewer from my phone and reinstalled it with the new download via XCode. Works a treat now, very pleased. Hope this works for you too.
