Making a object follow a track

FrimanFriman Member Posts: 55
I have an object that I want to follow a track (as description says) so can anyone suggest where I should start?
See the link to see what I mean, the object that I want to follow a track is the hollow circle.
Thanks for taking your time with this, I'm new to Game Salad so I'm still learning.
-Cheers!

    If you need it to actually follow a track, that's not easy although I think I've seen some posts about that here. If you just need it to move along an arc-shaped pathway (e.g. along a circle), that can be done with trig formulas.

    @Friman

    It's hard to know quite what you want, do you want the circle to simply follow that particular curve, or maybe have an object follow any path ? Does the user control the circle, perhaps that can drag it and position it on the circle? Does the circle simply bounce from one side to the other in a loop ? Or maybe it just goes left to right once and then disappears ? . . . . . etc etc.

    Like @tatiang says, a little bit of trigonometry will get something to follow the kind of curve in your example (see file attached) if that's what you are after . . . ?

    @socks
    What you showed me in the zip file is exactly what I want but I want it to be controlled by either the mouse or arrow buttons.
    I will look around into the changes you made but please let me know how to control it

    Thank you
