What is the best way to copy from one app to another?

What is the best way to copy from one app to another?

I noticed that it is impossible to open 2 apps at the same time to use copy/paste.

The problem is I have made one app and want to use some of its features in another app I am already in the middle of creation.

The only way I have found out is to print screen, then close app#1, then type manually those features inside app#2.
Am I missing something easyer?

You can copy prototype actors and behaviors within actors from one project to another... select something from project A, hit keys cmd+c, select a blank area in project B and hit keys cmd+v.

    You can't copy via creator:

    - Scenes from one project to another
    - Game and scene attributes
    - Tables
    - Actor attributes without copying the whole prototype actor

It is possible to copy anything from one project to another via xml within the project directory... but it's a process and I currently don't have the time to write up a doc.

If anyone has instructions on how to transfer objects via xml from one project to another, please post.

Thank you for your reply ericzingeler, but I am not sure I understand what you mean.

I am sorry I didnt say I am using GS for windows 7 version.

So I think I could try CRTL+C then CTRL+V instead of CMD+C then CMD+V, but the problem is I cant open 2 instances of GS in windows version to make that action possible...

    Did I miss something?

Since I cant open 2 instances of GS at the same time, I decided to try it anyway like this: open app#1, hit CRTL+C then close app#1 and open app#2 then CTRL+V and IT WORKED! (for a group of conditions inside an actor)

Thanks a lot ericzingeler! You just saved me a lot of time with this!

Anyways, let me know if there is a way of opening both apps at the same time.

    Thanks again!
