I dont know if its just me but i hate the direction all the top racing games are heading

All the new top racing games use this process and i hate it , its just a way to scam money of us

Right ive saved 20,000cr for a new car engine , i pay for it then i have to wait 3 hours just to install the part or i can spend money to get tokens that skip the 3 hours ,

I think they should make two versions of the game

1 for £1-£2 and u dont have to wait

2- free and u do have to wait cause i would pay the £2 not to wait

Is it just me or do you feel the same ?

@Jordeyy do you know why. Because they spend money on games to make it that way, they add multiplayer, release the game for three or four dollars only to find that they are only targeting a small amount of people who actually buy a game straight up for that price.
So they gotta earn money, and you can complain all you like but according to the data, people are willing to pay. If your not willing to pay then dont play.

As for scamming money, that's just you putting fancy words together. You get to play for free, you get the fancy stuff the more you pay.
It's exactly what GS does, gives it out free, and if you want the fancy stuff, go spend your money. Hardly anyone would buy straight away with out a test. Developers have caught on to it.

And by losing players like you doesn't even worry them, it even benefits them since they don't have to keep updating your server. And since some guy is going to pay a few hundreds, that pays for the other free users.

This happen a while ago, people didn't want to pay a dollar for an app. So they released them for free so everybody could play. But they had ads, and guess what, people complained. So this is the result of all the complaining, you get a free and ad free game but now you have to wait. How low are people going to keep ripping of developers?

I actually support Free to play when it comes to farming games ect. However I don't think racing games should be under Free to Play, however I thought I would throw something on the other side because really it just sounded like a big winge without and purpose. So yeah they should do it.

But still for real racing 3, you will be amazed how far you can actually go in the game without paying a single cent. So it just depends on you really.

The thing is they make more money from the small percentage of users who plough loads of money in to iaps than they would from selling the paid version, so it's not worth it to them. If somebody can buy the complete game for a few dollars they'd never spend $69 or more on iaps on the freemium one.

Ps you probably shouldn't have posted this in 'working with Gamesalad', I'm guessing a mod might move it soon!

It's just carrying over from the console model. Take Burn Out Paradise City for instance.
That set a new standard with IAP for new features, cars, special unlocks, locations an option to unlock every car etc (basically cheat the game).

If the App is quality, I don't mind paying an entry price plus IAP if the IAP does not end up being more than half the real/final game or effect the ability to complete the game enjoyably. I see some mobile devs are forgetting that.

Are we talking iOS? Never liked the racers on an iOS device.
I loved to play GRID on PS3. But I sold that for a GS Pro account. Need for Speed was fun too. I still have a PS2 and play GT on it sometimes with my steering wheel. That works awesome.
