Gradient on iPhone Shows Streaks

So I have been tinkering in Photoshop, having made myself a simple background for my game, nice gradient, can't beat a gradient. Anyway on my computer monitor it seems lovely, however on my device screen it shows streaks/slices/lines whatever you want to call them. Anyone else experienced this? Any ideas of how to remove this?

Yes, this is a known issue. You could try putting a little noise in your gradient and adjusting the colors. Some color combinations seem to be more problematic than others.

Just to clarify - is this a known issue for GS or for the iPhone??
