Just bought a set of Taylor Made R11's and joined a local course so hope to play a bit now it's warmer here in the uk.

I've never played enough to warrant becoming a member, every year I get tempted though! ha.
I probably only have a year or 2 left in me for playing football so once i'm done there, i'll look more to golf! Would love to be better, just dont put enough time into it!

You guys should see my local golf course, it's so ropey it costs next to nothing to play there, they let you wear whatever shoes you want and I'm pretty sure they'd even let me smack a football round the course if I wanted to! Great place to learn but not very prestigious )

PS I would link it here but it appears they don't even have a website haha.

We have a nice council owned 18 hole course just round the corner too, no website but its only £6 a round or £110 a year and its really nice although it has no bunkers or water features its perfect for me as theres no dress code (a jeans/shorts, t-shirt and trainers guy)

That sounds like our local course Darren, it's perfect for me as I'm not very consistent with my golfing yet, and I'd hate to have a load of well dressed posh guys stood tutting behind me on the tee as I send my ball flying the wrong way!

Racecourse is ok, its like £6 to play, nice and open and very forgiving! My other local is a lovely little 9;

@Wingmanapps they are forgiving which is good for me but also long hitting so I have to take 1 or 2 clubs less compared to my old set of burner bubbles.

@BoomshackBarry Im not very consistent ATM but I think I'm getting there slowly lol.

@beefy yeah and also with people waiting behind you lol, deanwood looks nice m8.

Go Adam Scott!!! What do you guys play off? I haven't played this year but my most recent handicap was 16. I used to be a member here http://www.palmergolf.com.au/colonial/ . Lovely courses just no time to play at the moment. I bought a full set of Titleist AP2's about 12 months ago, love em and would never change.
