I would suggest not use art that other people have done and then sell it. For example in the doodle jump styled template, you use @indiegamedesigner´s buttons.
But otherwise great templates that I´m sure that many people will use:)

Yes thats true, but that art was given without copyrights by the owners.

@FPGames yes that's true but in this situation you are using them to make profit and people will use them in their own games if they buy your template, I would advise you to watermark them and put a link in game or in the description as to where people can download the originals if needed, this would just be out of respect to the artist! But that's just what I would do :)

$50 for an easy doodle jump template that reminds me a lot of a free one made by toastkitten a while back is just a little ridiculous to me. I am sorry to be negative but you could buy a very complex and awesome DBA template at http://www.deepblueapps.com/ for $50. Possibly a wise business decision for you and your template would be to go down to a $10 price point where you could rack up a few sales and get GS Pro ;)

Have you made any sales yet?

I have to agree with @GraphicWarehouse
I personally think the templates are overpriced for what they are.

The only reasons I can think of to have a template that expensive, is if it was complex, was a full game, very original, or included original art.

Otherwise I would lower the cost to $10-$20.
    This is just my opinion.

To let you know my template is a complete game, maybe the art is not mine but it is free to use. The price is adequate, because is not only a doodle jump template if you did not watched the video it has a lot more things in there. So be sure you think before talk. also this goes for graphicwarehouse to.

Uh...you asked people what they thought of your template and they told you, so if you don't want opinions, don't ask. My opinion, the free art cheapens the look of your template because we have all seen those buttons/blocks a ton of times. There are a couple doodle jump type templates with art/scoring in the $10 range, so I agree that your template is overpriced.

@FPGames The templates would have a much more professional/appealing look if they used art created for them. To me they look like a cheap when they show art that everybody knows about, and that doesn't match the style of the game.

If you changed the look I could see the templates going for $20. But $50 is WAY too high for that. If you search "Doodle Jump" in the marketplace, you will see a Doodle Jump template for $4.99 below yours.

To let you know my template is a complete game, "...The price is adequate, because is not only a doodle jump template if you did not watched the video it has a lot more things in there"
From what I can see from the video, it is a doodle jump game, with a health bar, an enemy and a dropping platform.

To me this would be easy to add in a matter of minutes.

    youtube (Dot) com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=rWQ_E3O5MPg#!

But in the end, it is your template so do what you want with it. Wish you the best with sales.

    hi
for me your template would be to go down to a $5 or $10 price, i've already download the toastkitten templates, and the game is the same.

When I see these what do you think posts I know the person is not looking for honest feedback but really is fishing for validation. The main key to creative success is the ability to be honest with yourself. As to the template, if I'm being honest, I'm not impressed. It is armature. Look at the offerings of the pro template sellers and measure your offerings against theirs. It's clear yours is not even close. If you can't clearly see that then you need to work on honestly evaluating your work. If you don't do an honest evaluation of your work be sure the public will and they will be brutal.
