Help with space rock template!

hi i am relatively new to gamesalad so forgive me if these are dumb questions...
I am making a game based on the space rock template and my problem is this:
I am trying to increase the number of enemies by 1 on each additional level. The problem is the game attribute for enemies on screen is set to 4, so in the next level when i want to have 5 enemies it still thinks there should only be 4. when i try to make the enemies on screen a scene attribute instead of a game attribute, I can't get it to recognize that attribute at all.

My second (and third) problem is this: I have a button that appears after the first level is cleared to take you to the next scene, which it does but i can't get the button to destroy itself, it stays into the next level (even though it is suppose to destroy itself after it is pressed) and i can't get the text to appear on the next level "press n to spawn player." so the button does change the scene but it is not playable because the player cannot be spawned. The scene needs to be reset or something and i don't where to insert the reset. If i preview just the second scene by itself it is no problem, the text appears and i can spawn the player.
