Hey guys,

This demo checks to see if the word entered in the project is a word in the Answer table. While there are other ways to do this, this method uses the new Loop Behavior which is currently found in the Nightly Builds. If you're not a PRO user, I'd consider upgrading. Getting these features early is well worth it! ;)

Just one of the many uses for the new Loop Behavior!

Just a morning bump for the early birds.

Nice! I'll check it out. I'm going to assume that there will be less slowdown when checking words and the library can be increased to say 500,000 English words. :)

@iamcartez - Well, that depends. It's "slower" than the 60,000 word checker because the loop behavior only activates every cycle. So it could probably search through 60-80 rows in a table in 1 second. Maybe less. However, this is probably a good method to use if you only have 100 rows to search. Then it would only take a second or so. It's much easier to edit compared to the 60,000 word checker. This demo is better on the game itself because it's using tables. Opening that word checker actor took a long time because of the content held within. It's probably possible to search more than one table at a time, though. So that could speed things up.

The point being - it was a hassle to edit/open that actor when making a word game, because there are always changes to be made. This method is much easier to edit, but takes slightly longer to confirm a match. Both demos are great, but it depends on which game you're making that would decide which method to use.

Oh cool, well that makes sense and will provide a great alternative for some word games.
And jeez it was a hassle to open that actor, took about 30-40 seconds with a new mac mini with 16GB.
