SpaceSwarm DEMO

I'm working on an update to the SpaceSwarm game for iPad.
information here: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/spaceswarm/id367292259?mt=8

One of the complaints is about the ship control. In the interest of responding to feedback, I've pulled together a simple web demo of the game. Demo1 features the current control system in which the arrow keys point your ship in a specific direction. Demo2 features a new control system in which the arrow keys control the left/right turning of the ship.

Please check out the web demo and vote for your favorite ship control style.

You should be able to play this with the latest GameSalad 0.8.5 Web plug-in

yup, definitely no. 2. I had a real hard time steering no. 1, I think I might have been confused by the blue fire that bursts up, it felt backwards in some strange way.

Hmm... I thought option 1 would be easier. But it seems pretty clear that I was wrong and that option 2 is the winner. Thank you both for checking this out, I'll submit the update to the App store today. Please email me: jkanalakis@envygames.com with "SpaceSwarm" in the title if you would like a free promo code as a thank you gift.

The rotate / thrust method has always been about "realistic ship control",
but for pure arcade experience, a directional aproach is usually best
