I'm 13. I have a Gamesalad Account. I know how to use Gamesalad.
And I'm going to use these privileges to make games. Hopefully, they will be amazing games, games that attract people, games that are fun. I'm working on a few projects right now, and one of them is starting to take shape. I have many more ideas, and I hope to use them well. Here I will be posting my ideas, asking a few questions, and revealing parts of my games. I am glad to have the support of the Gamesalad Community as I embark on an
epic
adventure.
Stay tuned.

I look forward to what you come up with.
There's plenty of help on here for things like rules and sound and graphics, but I thought this thread about pacing might interest you:

It didn't get much interest at the time (there's only two of us chatting about it) but I still believe it's an essential ingredient to games that people just don't think about!
Hope it helps in some small way!

Starting from scratch, as an error occurred. This same error has happened before, but not to as big of a project as this one. The error deleted everything in my game, leaving an empty file that is impossible to open. I tried to track down the error using "Console" but the GameSalad text is compiled and the direct error is not possible to track.
I'm REEEEEEALLY with Gamesalad right now.
Sometimes I get carried away and forget to save for a while. Be sure to save when you add anything new.
Hope you can rebuild quickly,

"Be patient, have care; for the greatest things are built upon a simple understanding."
I just made that up a little while ago.
It's a sidescrolling game, with 4 different heroes to choose from. Each hero is based upon an element, and is devoted to guarding "Goodland."
Gameplay: Half-action, half-strategy. Gameplay is based upon your finger, mostly. Think fruit ninja blade, but with more options. Or the "Cut the Rope" finger style. Each hero has special abilities that you can access using the tap-finger feature.

Your game sounds neat, definitely has potential. Good luck with it!

And now, for my

I worked a little bit more today on the finger-style usage, adding some effects (Spawning particles of energy that spin and fade away, fading the graphics for when you release your finger from the screen), and then on how the character moves.
Since this specific game is filled with puzzles and things that block your way as you move through the levels, I needed an easy stop-start function. I decided to use one button that does this action:
If the character is not moving but the button is pressed, make the character move.
And then:
If the character is moving and the button is pressed, stop the character.
This allows a simple, yet fun addition to the game. And you can easily stop at a puzzle or something that requires your thought, do the thing that needs doing, and then keep going.
But for some reason, the set of rules I am using is set up carefully enough, but I can only get the character to move, not to stop. I will investigate this matter.
I worked some more on my button today. It should be a simple matter of using simple button rules, but nothing I do works. I might try for another sort of easy stop/start trigger.
I am starting on the artwork for a couple of the actors, and and working hard.
It's harder than you'd think to use the old Photoshop for pixel art.
