Android Screen Size

Hi all,
I am planning on porting my games to Android (I recently got my hands on a test device, which is awesome!) But was wondering what was a good size to use. I know that there are A LOT of different Android screen sizes, but is there some common size which most Android devs use when publishing?
Also I read in some posts from last year that Android automatically stretches to fit the screen. Is that still true, or has it changed.
Thanks in advance,
Half Baked Productions
EDIT: I know that this question has been answered before, I was just wondering if anything has changed

But you can take a look at Unity statistics - http://stats.unity3d.com/mobile/display.html
We only seem to be having slight issues with nexus 4 from the early reports so far.
Both amazon and Google play approved the game with over-scan.
Not sure what others on the forum think of overscan, but its working for us beautifully.
Let me know if you need more details, would be happy to help

Do you have to use overscan for the other two markets, or is there some stretch feature?
Thanks,

Overscan is been used for Google Play and Amazon Kindle. And this is using an iphone5 project. Seems to be working fine.
