On a more serious note, will there be the option for some people who have their own servers to integrate stuff into that, bypassing the GS ones?
It might be nice as an option. I mean I don't have a server, but it would allow a bit more control my end if I did.
It could also alleviate any strain/cost for the GS crew maybe.
Another concern I have is the cost of piracy.
What I mean is, say 100 people bought your multiplayer game. However, 300 *more* people are playing a pirate version of your game.
If GS are charging extra for the extra usage, I worry that resentment will build from those having to pay extra for increased usage thanks to pirated games.
Just a thought. Looking forward to asynchronous multiplayer though. Gets the ideas flowing, doesn't it?
