help with main actor

GruGru Member Posts: 9
Hi, I made the main actor and I want him to be 128 128. Ok, done. But other animations, walking jumping etc., How do I make those so they don't scale and such? Do i need to make them on a big stage like 512 or 256 ? I have been trimming the actors done to save space but of course, if they're made 128 128 and they're slightly larger or smaller than the frame, it changes the size. Any help? What is the best way so that the actor looks the same, running, turning, etc? thx.

normally the animation will be the same size as your main actor.

However, I'm not sure what your saying.
Are you saying your art is of different size to your main actor?

Make the space around all your frames the size of the frame that takes up the most space. You'll need to have all your frames the same size when brought into GS. Some will have more transparent area than others.

Thx, that worked. Another issue, trying to make the character jump up and to the side, got it figured out but only with one frame of animation. How can i get it to play with an animate behavior, several frames of animation and resetting back to the ambient?

You have to have several actors with the different animations in them, and when you jump, you would switch actors to the one with the jump animation, and when the actor lands, change the actor back to the one with the walking/run animation.
