I was thinking of publishing my site, I know apple developer is down at the moment, but I wanted to know if it costs to publish apps? I have a developer account but it's not a paid one .. I was under the impression game salad was free to publish on iOS but costs on android.

You need a paid-for developer account to publish games to the App Store. It's £60 a year or equivalent. I think you also have to buy another one if you want to publish to the Mac App Store.

its free to use game salad to publish for iOS meaning you don't have to pay game salad any money for iOS publishing. You still have to Pay apple. And Android cost money with GameSalad and Google

Right, my mate has a developer account and I have ios7 because of it, i still won't be able to publish without paying for an account right?

If you let your friend publish your game under his name it could cause all kinds of trouble if the game did well as it would probably be seen as 'his game' from a legal standpoint. A developer account is only $99 a year anyway so you are better safe than sorry.

Also your friend could lose his developer account for giving you a copy of iOS 7
