Does an iAd banner have to stay onscreen for a specific amount of time to give the developer revenue?
Or can it just be onscreen for say, 3 seconds, then slide off again?

I don't think it will work.
On a side note it can, but you won't get paid. There is a time limit that stops developers from doing this type of stuff, according to members here. Haven't tested myself though.

I'm just after were some facts and figures. My 3 seconds was just an example.
If there was a rule about ad revenue whereby ads need to be displayed for at least say "32 seconds" before any revenue is paid, then it would be a total waste of time for developers to have a behaviour that displays an ad for say "28 seconds".
So I'm wondering if anyone has any facts and figures.
Seems to be lots of developers here, many of which would have already gone over this stuff. Just looking for some answers.
Cheers.
So yeah figures are needed if your trying to work out a best revenue solution.

I did some Googling, and looking at some Apple webpages...
Looks like they have a rule that you are not meant to cycle to a new ad quicker than 30 seconds apart.
Not so much about how long to display it for... but more so not to have a banner up and keep cycling through ads every 5 seconds.
I'm wondering, seeing as we don't have direct control over cycling ads in Game Salad, how does Game Salad keep track of ads, and how often does it create a new one?
Does it call a new ad every time the behaviour is called? Or is it keeping track in the background, and re-showing the same advertisement over a certain duration, even if the developer shows a banner, then stops showing it, then shows another one.
Anyone got any experience with this, with released apps?
