Puck it Pocket Edition for iphone out now!

Our game Puck It is now out for iPhone. I just looked and it came in at 53mb damn. Let me know if you can't download it via cell link. I'll have to squeeze a few more mb out and do an update right away.

    Thanks for the kind words.

    That 50 mb marker is a pain. I'm sure Mr. Bacon will get it down to size, or I'll have to dig through our graphic assets and minimize/optimize what we can even further. The cool thing is, he knows what to look for which is good since I'm busy with a new shipboard IT position with a major luxury cruise company. I'll still be doing games, but my main focus will be internal apps, internal web and training peeps. Too good of an opportunity to pass up and it does not conficlt with other work/projects. In fact, they encourage my external projects. Bonus!

    My partner is joining the love boat... While I slave away in my studio, he'll be on the lito deck sunning himself. He better get that art done for Steel Beach instead of looking at bikinis! I'll have to take a cruse and kick his a$$ or follow him around and every time he talks to a girl ask him if that rash is cleared up yet..LMAO naw.. I'm stocked for my main Bud as he worked hard to find that gig. But as he said Lost Oasis Games goes on to new heights starting with our next game Steel Beach another @RP brilliant idea!

    Update. Some interesting data to note. This project was created as an iPad project with RI. I had optimized it to the bone smashing down the images to PNG 8 et... so we came in at 53mb. We used camera trickery and some clever spawning of border graphics to adjust for iPhone 5. I had a thought, I know GS sends back double the images when a project is RI. I wondered if I unchecked RI since this was a direct iPhone build via publishing how would it effect both display and memory footprint? I thought that maybe the device would choose the lesser scale images created during publishing to run on the device thereby making the memory footprint less. I unchecked RI and published a build and compared it to the RI build via Xcode instruments. What I found is no difference and the project compressed out at 36mb. I just submitted the update so Puck It will be downloadable via cell networks soon!

    Really like this but the paddle really jumps around on me. I don't remember this be an issue on the iPad?

    Explain? What type iPhone?
    iphone 4 newest os, non JB. When I drag my finger to control the paddle, the paddle jumps around and does not slide in a smooth motion.

    Hmm we tested on the iPhone 5 and 4s doesn't do it on those.

    I just have the iPhone 4 and the touch doesn't work very well and the paddle is really shaky. I made a basketball game with a similar touch issue on certain devices. I took a short video on my iPad 2, I can send it to you if that would help.

    Hmmm. Anyone else experiencing this on a 4? Puck It is a free dowload, so if you can give it a whirl and drop us some feedback we'd appreciate it.

    Also, 4th generation iPod users, some feedback from you would be very helpful!
