Regarding my previous discussion "Game Art Services - We deliver high quality graphics"

Hello Everyone,
Thanks to all of you who checked our portfolio.

Sorry, I have been away for a while and was not able to respond. So i opened up a new discussion to clear few things.

I personally thank you all who took time to respond to my previous discussion "Game Art Services - We deliver high quality graphics".

Yes, I agree that Artwork looks almost similar to the game "Run Rabbit" by deepblueapps. It's not at all my fault. The guys from Fufuz studio asked me to clone it same with some colour changes. Even i mentioned that, there might be copyright issues. But as you guys know, in the game industry many clients don't want to spend too much money on original art. So for them tracing something is a cost effective. And the same goes with "Agro Birds template".

I am at fault at one place, that i should have not made a screenshot of it and put it on my website which i will remove immediately. Because, the original designs are not created by me.

We do believe in making original concepts for every game but only when client wants to spend money. We daily make lot of sketches for various games. And they are totally original. The same thing can be noticed in our portfolio.

As Gamesalad is considered for artist, I am also making a game based on "Run Rabbit" from last 3-4 months. It is not yet completed. I don't want to reveal the graphics of it so early, but now many bad things have been said about us. Please check the screenshots of it. Now i leave to you guys whether the artwork of it is original or copied.

I previously launched Skully Scores on my personal Apple developer account and you guys can notice the artwork and other extra things we added in it. It is based on "Looney Lemmings" template.

I know my 8 years experience doesn't say that we should trace anybody's artwork and call it ours. We never did that. Those were the only 2 games which we had ever traced/copied out of 100+ games we already worked on and they are making good success in market.

I totally respect the comments which were posted previously on the copied issue. And you guys are much more experienced than us. My sincere apology if the copied artwork hurted anyone.

I humbly thank you all for checking my post again.

Kind regards,
Sachin Sachdeva

    Hi.

Absolutely, I think you're a very good artist but was naïve using the screenshots with art that hadn't been changed much. I have a long standing project using that template myself and I loved the scheme so have used a similar basis but a lot more changed up. You only do what's commissioned so its not really your fault but I wouldn't of advertised it.

By the way, you're game is looking great :)

You can get nailed for striking/substantial similarities for such a thing. I'm not sure how this "oversight" came to be, but I'd suggest before progressing further, you get well versed in ethics in the realms of art and business.

    I'd suggest this:

Graphic Artists Guild Handbook: Pricing & Ethical Guidelines
    https://www.graphicartistsguild.org

It's commendable that you recognize this and addressed it. Most folks would either fight tooth and nail denying it or run away.

    Hi,
Thanks. Yes, that is my fault. I shouldn't have posted a screenshot of it.

Glad to know that you liked the game.

Just to mention, my another app/game was released last night.

I have been working on it from last 1 year. I wanted this app to be released on 24th July(My 3 years old daughter's birth date) as a gift to her. But we get it a day after. :)
She's is very happy to see it.

I have also attached screenshots of it.

    Thanks,

    @Fajlajp

I tried the colouring app initially with Gamesalad, but was not able to succeed. Then i get it done in Xcode (Cocos 2d).

    Hope i answered your question...!!

    Thanks,
    Sachin
