Fruit Ninja Issue

I am playing with the DBA Fruit Ninja Template to learn how to use GameSalad and it has been a great help, but I'm having one nagging issue:

When you slash one particular "fruit", its pieces spawn and behave perfectly, but duplicate, corresponding (from the same color "fruit") halved and quartered pieces pop up ever so slightly at the bottom of the screen.

This only happens with this one particular fruit, but I've compared its settings with that of the other fruits and everything is exactly the same.

Anyone have any idea what could be causing something like this?

Can you send me the project, please, so that I can take a clear look at it? @ sibo.vangool@hotmail.com

You actually should just ask DBA directly.

Thanks Bazookatime - I have contacted Dba a few times and Darren was unable to replicate the problem in the original template so was unable to fix it.

I'm not sure what to do then. I don't want to give away Dba's template but I may need someone to actually take a look at it. I'm not sure if I described the problem well enough...
    Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

Why not record a video so DBA and everybody here can take a look?
This way you don't give anything away and people might be able to help that way as well.

    Just a thought :)

Push your entire screen up, and make the bottom area under the camera bigger- make sure you set the slices to return to y below the camera line- if your actor is say 50w by 50h set it to return to like -60 i had this issue along time ago, was a pain in the ass

Im pretty sure its because you need different game attributes assigned to each fruit (even if its the same colour) so could you check again to see if the fruit giving an error has its own attributes and is not copying another.

Dont forget to check the otherwise part of the rules that are sometimes hidden.

I don't think we were implying you couldn't send the file for someone to help you but as Jon indicated that particular comment seemed suspicious. And since there are several agrees on it we weren't the only ones who discerned something fishy.

    Hey guys,

Thanks so much for the help. I've been pulling my hair out over this.

rdcube - I took your advice and made a little video so you can see exactly what's happening.

Notice that, as the yellow card is slashed, little pieces of it pop up on the bottom of the screen. It only happens with the yellow card and only happens about 75% of the time.

MPaula620 - The instance and prototype have the exact same settings.

    Darren,

I checked and each fruit does have its own set of attributes and took a peek at all the "otherwise" sections - they are all blank :(

Is there anything else you can think of that could be making them do that? I'm perplexed.

Thanks for the tip. It's good to hear someone else had this issue as well! I don't quite understand how to push the entire screen up. I did make the bottom area bigger and lowered the fruit in question, but it still appears. Weird.

Great idea. I don't know why I didn't think of that. I've posted a video above for everyone to see what's going on.
