I have been working on the CongaLine a bit more. This time in the direction of a shooter. Today I focused on calling Enemies with a table.

Worked a bit on the beam. Works great. Now I have to make sure the beamed ship stays on the right enemy.

@volontaarts math does a lot of my tricks. It aves a lot of bugs and time.

Btw, I did some Arcade tests and it works awesome so far. So soon you will be able to play!!

No time for a video today. I perfected the beaming part and fixed some bugs. Added bombs that are called by the same table that calls the enemies. I can call an enemy by it's ID. For example when the table gives 103, enemy in the third enemy in the first row is called. When the table gives 1103 it also calls that enemy but has it throw a bomb as well. All done with some math in the enemy.

After perfecting the beam procedure yesterday and getting a bit tyres of "coding" I figured I start working at the graphics today. I 'm in a bitmap mood so again this one will get bitmap graphics.
I added bombs yesterday and figured it would be nice to have an enemy give you a heads up by lighting up shortly.

This is one of my favorites from this genre: Cosmo Gang the Video (or Cosmo and the Gang in some countries). This helped inspire the crazy aliens I put in Rescue Bacon!

I played that on MAME. Fun game indeed. I have the incoming ships as well. My plan was to make a Galaxian first and then step up to the incoming aliens/enemies.
And I have more on my sleeve but I'll show that later!
I was reading about cloning somewhere here this week and was thinking I should name this Galala
